AMSOL GHANA: EXPANDING HORIZONS

AMSOL Ghana was recently awarded a contract by Tema LNG Terminal Company (TLTC) to provide a vessel management service in respect of MV ‘Manye’ and crew for ‘Torman’ FRU.  Effective support of their specialised assets will see AMSOL providing experienced personnel, a professional technical management service and a streamlined strategic sourcing solution to ensure operational effectiveness.

TLTC is the owner and operator of Sub-Saharan Africa’s first Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) receiving, storage and regasification terminal, located within the Tema Port in Ghana.

The extension of AMSOL Ghana’s marine services in the region follows the acquisition of the tanker ‘Clenston’, which is currently on contract to Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL), delivering marine gas oil to international oil companies and the fishing industry.

For AMSOL Ghana CEO Kojo Quainoo, the asset investment and new contract represents the achievement of a strategic business growth objective.

“As a 51% Ghanaian owned, indigenous company committed to growing the regional ocean economy whilst ensuring local participation, the expansion of AMSOL’s footprint in Ghana has been a key priority to ensure future sustainability of the company in the region”.
