Effective offshore fuel transfer

The AHTSV ’Peridot’ departed Cape Town recently en route to rendezvous with the offshore diamond mining vessel ‘Ya Toivo’ off of Alexander Bay. On contract to IMDSA and in compliance with all regulatory requirements of the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) who approved the operation, the experienced team of Master, Officers and Crew aboard the ‘Peridot’ successfully and safely transferred fuel to the ‘Ya Toivo’, before returning to Cape Town.

Protection of the environment and safety of personnel are key priorities for fuel transfer operations, which are conducted to international standards with oversight by relevant authorities by an experienced AMSOL team.
