MAKE EVERY DAY A MANDELA DAY!
During July, employees were invited to submit details of organisations that they support in their personal capacity, with four being selected to receive an AMSOL donation in the month of Mandela Day!
The successful submissions include:
- The Rotary Club of Mossel Bay: The Rotary Club embarks on several local projects aimed at supporting and uplifting the community. More info at www.rotarymosselbay.org.za.
- Hope Cape Town: The Hope Cape Town supports children living with HIV. More info at www.hopecapetown.com.
- Lupas SA: The Lupas SA is a NPO focusing on raising awareness for Lupas in South Africa and supporting lupus sufferers. More info at www.lupassa.co.za.
- Matthew 25 Ministries: This is an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organisation which provides necessities to the underprivileged. More info at www.matthew25cm.org.
This company initiative was implemented specifically to acknowledge the efforts of AMSOL employees in making difference.
AMSOLITES also celebrated Mandela Day on the 18th July 2017 in dedicating 67 minutes of their time to service, in honour of former President Nelson Mandela! Employees from the Cape Town Office did a sandwich and care pack Drive which was delivered to the Haven Night shelter. Employees in Durban visited the St Vincent’s Home for Children in Marian Hill Pinetown and donated groceries, whilst the Mossel Bay employees did a blanket drive for the Mossel Bay Haven Night Shelter.
