‘S.A. AGULHAS ll’ RETURNS FROM ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION

The Polar Research Vessel ‘S.A. Agulhas ll’ returned from her annual Summer Cruise to Antarctica earlier this week.  This voyage included the important exchange of personnel, stores and equipment at the South African Government’s SANAE base, as well as climate and oceanographic research.

AMSOL manages the ‘S.A. Agulhas ll’ on behalf of the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries (DEFF) and provides an essential crewing, procurement, maintenance and management function, delivered to international standards.

The ‘S.A. Agulhas ll’ will be used for the ‘2020 SEAmester – South Africa Class Afloat’ voyage in July.  Interested post-graduate students with a background in marine or similar sciences can visit the following link for more information. Applications close on the 13th of March 2020.
