OUR COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY IMPACT AND EDUCATION
At AMSOL, making a lasting and positive difference in the communities where we operate is a core part of our sustainability strategy. Through strong local partnerships and targeted support initiatives, we continue to invest in education, supplier development, and collaboration that drives long-term impact.
One example of this commitment is our partnership with the Richtersveld Bookshop in Port Nolloth. As part of AMSOL’s Supplier Development Programme, the business received a loan to purchase stock ahead of the 2025 academic year. The stationery order ensured that the shop was fully stocked and able to meet the needs of local learners as schools reopened. On delivery day, AMSOL team members from the Cape Town Warehouse and the Port Nolloth-based supply launch ‘Aukwatowa’ were on hand to assist with offloading and unpacking, demonstrating our hands-on support for this local business.
Education remains a key focus area in AMSOL’s social investment efforts. Through our Employee Dependent Bursary Scheme, the 2025 school fees of 19 children were fully funded. The programme is open to employees earning under R400,000 per year and plays an important role in enabling access to quality education for their children.
Furthering our support for education, AMSOL recently partnered with the Sustainable Seas Trust to deliver an Educational Outreach Programme in the Motherwell community of Gqeberha. This initiative promotes marine conservation and sustainability through youth engagement and environmental education; supporting a unique recycling project in the process.
Whether it’s supporting local suppliers, investing in future generations, or working alongside community-based organisations, AMSOL remains committed to meaningful, sustainable impact.
