AMSOL appoints Dan Ngakane as new Chief Executive Officer

AMSOL is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Ngakane to the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July 2023. His appointment follows AMSOL’s deliberate succession planning processes and is the result of an extensive recruitment process involving candidates from a variety of industries in the region. Dan will replace outgoing CEO Paul Maclons who has been at the helm for 17 years.

COLLABORATION UNLOCKS ECONOMIC POTENTIAL

AMSOL has partnered with the South African International Maritime Institute (SAIMI) to bring the African Maritime Leadership Conference to Gqeberha, South Africa later this month.

AN ESSENTIAL LINK IN FUEL SUPPLY

Utilising a fleet of four product tankers and two bunker barges, AMSOL conducts bunker deliveries to vessels in port and offshore on behalf of clients in the Energy sector. More than 370 000 tonnes of marine fuel was delivered safely in 2022. A strong focus on safety and environmental protection as well as in-depth technical knowledge on international standards and compliance ensures that we deliver a risk-managed solution. AMSOL also conducts Ship-to Ship (STS) cargo transfers of petroleum products, chemicals and gas at the ports of Richards Bay, Ngqura, Cape Town and offshore Angola.

With a track record of providing offshore marine support to the Energy sector across Africa, AMSOL’s experience in meeting the specialist requirements of Clients during these typically high-risk projects is extensive. Our involvement in diverse operations means that skilled AMSOL personnel are sought after for specialist and complex projects – and each job is an opportunity to ensure that seafarers and offshore personnel build important experience.
